This yarn is hand dyed by Sea Change Fibers in Oregon. It is named after Celilo Falls, which was an incredible waterfall taken away by the dam on the Columbia river. It had a 15,000 year history of being home to indigenous people until 1957. This beautiful yarn honors their local history.
Celilo is 75% Falklands merino wool combined with 25% silk in 4 ply fingering weight, sourced from Great Britain. It has the soft feel from the organic Falklands sheep with beautiful stitch definition and the glow from silk. It shines in lace work, cables, and color work. Its light and lofty texture makes for a lightweight and flexibly warm garment that is beautiful all year round.

Please Note: Due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, slight variations in color can occur between dye lots. We’ll do our best to ensure all skeins in your order are from the same lot, but we always recommend purchasing enough yarn for your entire project at one time to ensure consistency.
We strive to photograph our yarns as accurately as possible, but please keep in mind that colors may appear differently on your screen than they do in person.
