Join us at the Royal Bee for a special Yarn & Yoga event!
This is the perfect option for first timers or those who prefer a gentle yoga experience. Mindful stretching of the hands, forearms, shoulders, and lower back is perfect for relieving some of the aches caused by the repetitive motions of fiber arts.
Stick around for social stitching & hot tea with all your new yoga fiber friends once yoga instruction is complete.
Where: The Royal Bee Yarn Backyard Garden
What to Bring: Your own yoga mat or beach towel, water bottle, and of course knitting or crochet project!
What is Provided: Blocks, blankets, and hot tea for sipping and winding down after the class for some cozy social stitching.
About Your Instructor: Jami Bailey began practicing yoga in 1999 and has been teaching since 2008. Originally trained in New York City, she moved to the Bay Area in 2010, where she continued teaching, studying, and training yoga teachers before eventually finding her way to Pacifica and opening Sangha Hot Yoga eight years ago.
With more than 500 hours of formal teacher training and over 25,000 classes taught, Jami has spent years teaching Vinyasa, traditional Hot Yoga, Yin, meditation, and accessible movement, as well as leading numerous yoga teacher trainings.
Although “Hot Yoga” is in the name, Sangha has always been about much more than heat. Sangha means community—a place to practice, connect, breathe, move, and belong.
Jami is especially excited to bring yoga to the Royal Bee community and her new group of knitting yogis! Knitting and yoga may have more in common than we think: rhythm, repetition, focus, creativity, and the simple pleasure of becoming absorbed in what our hands and bodies are doing.
This community class begins as a monthly gathering, with hopes of growing into an even more regular offering as the community grows. Come exactly as you are—no yoga experience required.
