Class Description
Join our creative crochet series designed specifically for kids! In these sessions, beginners will start with the fundamentals, while more experienced students will explore new techniques. Participants are welcome to bring ongoing projects or start something fresh—ranging from stylish bags and scarves to cozy beanies and adorable stuffed critters—depending on their individual skills and interests.
No prior experience is necessary; all that is required is curiosity and a spark of creativity! These after-school workshops provide a supportive environment for students to discover the joy of fiber arts while building fine motor skills and confidence.

Materials:
All students will need one ball of worsted or bulky yarn and a crochet hook. Materials are available for purchase at Royal Bee Yarn Shop with a 10% student discount for the duration of the class.
About the Instructor
Petra Schumann learned to knit and crochet as a child and loves sharing her passion for fiber arts with students of all ages. She has taught art in Pacifica schools for over a dozen years and currently leads workshops for adults and children for organizations including SCRAP and SFMOMA in San Francisco. Petra brings a warm, enthusiastic, and supportive approach to every classroom.
