Ready to cast on some spooky stitches?

In this intermediate-level class we’ll knit the Practical Witch Hat by Tiny Owl Knits, a whimsical, oversized hat that’s perfect for Halloween, cozy autumn nights, or anytime you want to bring a little magic into your wardrobe. 

In this class you'll build confidence in intermediate techniques like:

• Knitting in the round on circulars and DPNs

• Creating structure with increases and decreases

• Optional wire/brim support techniques

• Finishing details to personalize your witch hat

Materials Needed

Available for purchase at the shop with 10% discount

• Knitting Needles US 10 - 6.0 mm
  
  
• Worsted Weight Yarn - 350 - 400 yards (320 - 366 m)
• Stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors
• Optional: millinery wire  for extra brim support
• A practical witch hat pattern 

Skill level

You should already be comfortable casting on, knitting, purling, and knitting in the round.

This class can host up to 8 students

Instructor

Harry (she/her) is an avid knitter with over 8 years of experience. She is enjoys working with texturally complex patterns and colorwork projects. When she’s not knitting, you can find her hiking with her dog, playing tennis, or spending time on the bay.
